Ask your story is a Studio feature: a conversation with an assistant that knows your manuscript, not the internet. Ask it what your world already contains and it answers from your pages.

What it is

“When did Maren last see her brother?” “What has the reader been told about the harbour blockade?” “List every scene where the debt is mentioned.” Ask your story reads across the whole manuscript and your Atlas to answer, which is exactly the kind of question that is slow and error-prone to answer by hand in a long book.

How to ask

Open the chat, type a question in plain language, and read the answer. Follow-ups keep their context, so you can dig into a thread the way you would with a research assistant who has actually read the book.

Citations you can trust

Answers point back to the passages they came from, so you can jump to the source and confirm it rather than taking the assistant’s word for it. That is what makes it usable for continuity work: it shows you where in the manuscript a claim is grounded.

How it stays grounded

Under the hood it uses semantic recall to find the relevant passages across your manuscript, plus your Atlas entities and how their state changes over the story. It answers from that retrieved context, so it stays anchored to your canon instead of inventing.
