A calm, focused place to write, with the fuss handled quietly in the background.
The Write view is where you spend most of your time. It is a rich-text editor tuned for prose: the formatting you need and nothing you don’t, so the page stays quiet and the words stay first.
Writing and formatting
Type and your text is saved as you go. For emphasis, use the familiar shortcuts, Ctrl+B for bold and Ctrl+I for italic (Cmd+B and Cmd+I on a Mac). PullAtlas keeps the formatting palette deliberately small, bold, italic, headings, lists, and scene breaks, which keeps a manuscript consistent and exports clean.
The slash menu
Type / at the start of an empty line to open the slash menu, a quick way to change a block without leaving the keyboard. It is also how you insert a scene break.
Focus mode
When you want nothing but the page, turn on focus mode. The surrounding interface fades away and the current line stays centred and calm. Press Esc to leave it again.
Autosave and snapshots
Your work saves automatically as you write, so a lost tab never costs you a paragraph. A Save control sits in the toolbar as well, for when you want the reassurance of saving by hand. Alongside autosave, PullAtlas keeps snapshots, points in time you can look back at, so you can experiment freely and still recover an earlier version of a chapter. Comments
Leave yourself (or a co-author) a note without touching the prose. Comments live beside the text and are perfect for “fix this later” markers, questions, and revision notes that shouldn’t end up in the manuscript.
Your Atlas, in the prose
As your Atlas fills up, the editor can quietly underline the names it recognises, a character, a place, a faction, so a mention is one hover from its full entry. It is a gentle way to keep the world at your fingertips while you write, and you can turn it off in the format options if you prefer a bare page.
