Your first project

From an empty Library to your first words, in a couple of minutes.

Everything in PullAtlas lives inside a project, one story, with its own chapters, Atlas, plan, and releases. Your projects live in the Library, the home screen you land on when you sign in.

Create a project

  1. Open the Library

Sign in and you arrive at the Library. It lists every project you own or have been invited to.
  2. Start a new project

Choose New project. Give it a title, and optionally a subtitle, a logline, and the themes or genre it explores, these help orient the AI later, and you can change them any time.
  3. Pick a format

Tell PullAtlas what you are writing: a serial, a novel, a novella, or a collection. See below for what this changes.
  4. Create it

Your project opens straight into the workspace, ready for a first chapter.

Choosing a format

The format sets the vocabulary and the release tools that fit your kind of writing, so the app is never “webnovel-only” or “print-only.”

  • Serial: chapters released on an ongoing schedule; release planning is per chapter.
  • Novel: one long work released as a whole; release planning treats the book as a unit.
  • Novella: a shorter single work.
  • Collection: related pieces gathered together.

Your first chapter

A new project starts you in the Write view. Add a chapter, give it a title, and start typing, the editor autosaves as you go, so there is no save button to remember. When you want room to think, toggle focus mode and the rest of the interface fades away.

Already have a draft elsewhere? You do not have to retype it, see Importing your work.
