Importing your work

If your story already lives in a document or another tool, you can move it into PullAtlas and pick up where you left off.

How to import

1. Open Import

   From the Library, choose Import when creating a project, or bring text into an existing project.

2. Paste or upload

   Paste your text directly, or upload a document. PullAtlas reads the content and prepares it for the workspace.

3. Review and confirm

   Check how the text has been split before it lands, then confirm to create the chapters.

Splitting into chapters

A manuscript comes in as chapters, not one enormous block. Clear chapter breaks in your source (a heading, or a consistent marker between chapters) help PullAtlas divide it the way you intend. You can always add, merge, or reorder chapters afterwards in the Outline view.

What comes across

Your paragraphs, emphasis, and scene breaks carry over. PullAtlas keeps prose formatting simple on purpose, bold, italic, headings, and scene breaks, so the import stays clean and predictable rather than dragging in stray styling from a word processor.

After importing
