The workspace

Inside a project, a row of views runs along the top. Each is a different way to look at the same story, switching views never loses your place in the manuscript.

The views

• Write: the editor, where the prose happens. Most of your time lives here.
• Outline: the shape of the manuscript at a glance, chapters and their order.
• Plan: story arcs and beats, the structure beneath the chapters.
• Atlas: your story bible of characters, places, and factions, their connections and a relationship map.
• Review: continuity findings, comments, and revision tasks gathered in one place.
• Release: prepare serial chapters or a finished book for publication.
• Progress: word counts, targets, and momentum over time.
• Export: download your manuscript in the format you need, or take a full backup.

There is also a Details view, a read-first overview of the project (its cover, logline, themes), with an edit modal when you want to change them.

Moving around

The fastest way between chapters and views is quick open: press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on a Mac) and start typing. The Library button returns you to your list of projects at any time.

Context panels

A couple of views open a panel beside the main surface, the continuity and cast context beside the editor in Write, and the entity detail beside the relationship map in Atlas. Everywhere else the surface stays uncluttered, and editing happens in a focused modal when you need it.
