Sharing a project

Bring a co-author or editor into a project, on your terms.

A project is private to you until you choose otherwise. Sharing invites specific people in to read and write alongside you, and you stay in control of who has access.

Inviting collaborators

As the owner, invite a collaborator to a project and they can open it in their own workspace. Only the owner can invite, so access never spreads without your say. Revoke access any time.

Roles and control

Collaborators join as members who can work in the project. The owner can also promote a collaborator to a co-owner when a project genuinely has two people at the helm. The safe default, though, is that invitations and access stay with you.

How many, and which plan

Every plan can share. Free, Hobby, and Pro let you share one project with up to three collaborators, plenty for a writer and an editor, or a small co-writing pair. Studio Studio lifts the limits: unlimited shared projects and unlimited collaborators, for teams and prolific co-authors.
